Bandages, Contact Safety and Miscellaneous Reminders
We’re testing a new mechanic for Bandages. Bandages are the swords of healing - they have no potentia cost and only require a prop. If you tie a bandage around a target’s limb, you may apply Heal 1 with daze. The target must be still while the bandage is tied. There is no channel beyond the amount of time it takes for the bandage to be applied, though the bandage must loop around the patient at least 2 times before being tied off. You can reclaim your bandage prop after the current encounter - your potentia will disinfect and clean the bandages when you have time to rest.
A bandage prop should be 12 to 18 inches long and should be tied to avoid trailing cloth. Do not tie bandages around the head or neck for any cause except roleplay, there will be no mechanical benefit for doing so. Do not grab at any trailing bandages, this would constitute roughhousing.
Contact Safety
We’re updating the game book section to list “safe touch” zones. If you are asked not to touch a player, don’t touch them and simply hover-hand. Safe touch does not mean grab, you must always ask for permission to roughhouse before attempting to grab another player. Safe touch zones are the outer shoulder, the arm, the upper back, and the legs below the knee.
If you have a concern about this policy, please let us know immediately.
Limb Disabling (Black Knighting)
We’re adjusting death. You will no longer bleed out as a result of losing two limbs, only when hit in the torso or hit in an already disabled limb. You can expect a good bit more crawling around, and wounded monsters will be a tad more dangerous.
Favors Reminder
We updated the favor system to simplify, but we didn’t have the business cards last game. We received our shipment, so we’ll be full swing for the adjustment from favor “ranks” to favor cards.
